DIAGNOSTIC / SUPPORT CENTER : RESOLUTIONS

The following is a list of resolutions for issues that have resolved.

RESOLUTION #1:

PROBLEM:

There is no information appearing in any of the look-up tables + the system does not allow me to enter values; displays the following message:

System could not add entry.
(EQUIPMGR: 713: Class not registered.
Looking for object with CLSID:{00000010-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4])

SOLUTION:
Open a DOS prompt and enter the following command:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.dll"

Now press OK. You should see a message stating "...dao350.dll succeeded."

RESOLUTION #2:

PROBLEM:

When starting the Guru Console, you're experiencing the following error:

E041 : Retrieval Failed
Error in retrieving system paths.
(ActiveX component cannot create object)

SOLUTION:
Open a DOS prompt and enter the following command:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO360.DLL"

Now press OK. You should see a message stating "...dao350.dll succeeded."

RESOLUTION #3:

PROBLEM:

When trying to install or re-register an add-in, you are getting the following messages:

Unexpected Error; quitting.
Add-In has been successfully registered.

SOLUTION:
The system is attempting to register the add-in to your system registry. However, you do not have rights to update the registry. Either run the system as an administrator, or use a user account that has administrator privileges.

RESOLUTION #4:

PROBLEM:

When starting the Maintenance Manager add-in, the "Generating Workorders... Please Wait" message appears and the system appears to be locked up.

SOLUTION:
Check the DATE FORMAT that is being used by your operating system vs. the PREFERRED DATE FORMAT selected in the administrative menu in your Guru Console. Ensure they are set to the same format.

RESOLUTION #5:

PROBLEM:

When starting the Guru Console, it hangs on the splash screen when "Checking License Information...".

SOLUTION:
Download and install the MDAC, System Files, and VB Dependency Files setup programs from our diagnostics menu. Reboot your machine when completed and try again.
